The Namik region is approximately 211 km from Kathgodam (railhead) and 50 kms ahead of Bageshwar town in Kumaon, Uttarakhand.

The Experience:


 This trip offers slices of the Himalayan experience. A combination of adventure, trekking and cultural interactions along a section Ramganga river valley. The drive to the region is through the heartland of Kumaon and offers insights into the beauty of the Kumaon hills. We interact with the local people in their homes or camp out on rolling meadows with eternal Himalayas in constant view. Welcome to the magic.

Morning

Short hikes / local explorations.

1st half

Mountain bicycling along the river road. Swimming river pools, White water Kayaking, Fishing Cliff jumps in the river, Body surfing with life jackets Beach volleyball, river crossing etc.

Lunch

Local interaction through a treasure hunt, Local Kumaoni home food sunlight village terraces for lunch. Local crafts like hemp rope making, carpet weaving, making natural dyes and other organic farming activities.

2nd half

HIKING: Climb up the valley along the Ramganga river. Participants to set up an overnight camp, pitch tents, collect firewood and cook meals by the riverside.

Rs. 10,750/- per participants

 

Accommodation & Food:
 All our Camps are furnished with safari & alpine tents with complete bedding, hygienic washroom facilities, safe running water and permanent western style flush toilets. The camp kitchen serves freshly cooked meals, including local Kumaoni food which is simple, wholesome, and delicious.
Travel:
Participants will travel by the overnight train (Ranikhet Express) from Old Delhi station to Kathgodam followed by chartered jeep transfers (8 hrs) to the campsite. The return will be likewise in the overnight train from Kathgodam to reach Delhi early morning. They will be accompanied and supervised by staff.
