The Kanha national park is situated in the Maikal hills, in the Satpura range of the central Indian highlands, Spreading over a area of 940 sq km and a buffer zone of 1005 sq km,in the State of Madhya Pradesh (22o 17'N, 80o 38'E). The land rises from 450 to 950 metres above sea level, and is drained by tributaries of the Narmada river.
Accommodation:
Kipling Camp has 15 double rooms (4 with double-beds and 11 with twin-beds) in attractive cottages scattered among the trees. All the rooms have ensuite bathrooms and rain showers. There are heaters and coolers, and 3 of the rooms are air-conditioned. There is also a private cottage with an attached sitting room and a private patio overlooking the lake.
The tariff includes all meals with a choice of non-vegetarian or vegetarian Indian and Continental cuisine. Meals are served at different locations – in the Shamiana, around a campfire.

Kipling Camp has a state-of-the-art conference centre that can comfortably accommodate 25 to 30 people. The facility is used to show wildlife films to guests in the evening, in huge format and fabulous sound. We also have broadband Internet facility.

The following rates include: accommodation in comfortable cottages, all meals
(breakfast, lunch and dinner), tea and coffee with snacks, experienced
naturalists, bird watching walks, special picnics, wildlife film shows,
excursions to neighboring villages and weekly markets, tribal dances (when
available), and time spent with our elephant ‘Tara’. The rates are per person,
per night.
The rates exclude: 11% Government Taxes.

There are special
rates for groups, longer stays, and for children under 12 years of age. From
23rd December to 2nd January there is a supplement charge of Rs. 1,500 per
person (12 yrs and above) and Rs. 1,000 per child (5 to 11 yrs). The tariff is
subject to change without notice.
Jungle Safaris:
Morning and/or afternoon safaris into Kanha National Park can be arranged. These
must be booked in advance and are subject to availability. A 4WD vehicle
(seating 5 guests) currently costs Rs. 3,000 per safari plus a 7.42% Government
tax. In addition there is a Government Park Entry Fee per vehicle, which is
currently Rs. 2,250 to Rs. 3,250 for foreigners, and Rs. 1,750 to Rs. 1,250 for
Indian citizens, depending on the zone. Elephant tracking is Rs. 200 to Rs. 600
per person.
